Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Announced, Releasing for Consoles and PC in 2021

Includes Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas with improvements to visuals and gameplay.

Rockstar Games has finally announced its rumored compilation of remasters with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. It will be launching this year for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (via the Rockstar Games Launcher) and in the first half of 2022 for iOS and Android. Check out the trailer below.

This trilogy consists of remasters for Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Along with improved visuals, there will be “modern” gameplay enhancements but they’ll still maintain “the classic look and feel of the originals.” More details will be coming soon but starting next week, existing digital versions of these titles will be removed from retailers.

In addition to the remastered trilogy, Rockstar is celebrating Grand Theft Auto 3’s 20th anniversary with some special gear in Grand Theft Auto Online. These will be available in the Fall through different events and will include commemorative clothing and liveries. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
