Spiders’ GreedFall has a fair bit of hype riding on it. Not just because it’ll be while before a new Dragon Age is out but because the setting and gameplay look genuinely intriguing. IGN recently released 13 minutes of footage showcasing the combat, which entails a mix of sword-play, magic and more.
Though not quite as polished as a bigger budget title, GreedFall’s companion interactions, interface and overall customization still make it worth checking out. The story sees players traveling to the island of Teer Fradee, seeking a cure for a mysterious illness in the pseudo-17th century. Other factions have settled on the island though, each with their own purposes and goals in mind.
There are also the indigenous Elves who use mystical guardians to fight. Whether you decide to deal with the Elves – or other factions – with violence, diplomacy or deceit is completely up to you. GreedFall is out on September 10th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
