GRID Receives 7 Minutes of New Gameplay Footage

Take a leisurely drive around Shanghai.

Masters of the racing genre Codemasters (pun intended?) recently launched F1 2019, but they’ve still got more stuff in the pipeline for 2019. More specifically, the rebooted GRID launches later this year, promising to deliver a shot in the arm to the series, and understandably, plenty of people are quite excited about it.

If you’re one of those people, there’s seven minutes of new gameplay footage of the upcoming racer to gawk at, courtesy of TheXboxHub on YouTube. The video shows raw, uncut gameplay of a muscle car being driven around one of the game’s Shanghai courses, and yes, it’s looking pretty good. Driving looks tight and responsive (though there’s really no way to be sure unless one plays the game oneself, I’d imagine), while visually, there’s plenty to be impressed by. Take a look below.

GRID was originally slated for a September release, but after recent delay, is now due out on October 11 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC- and it won’t have any microtransactions. In related news, Codemasters also recently released new gameplay trailer, which you can view through here.
