Codemasters has announced a delay for GRID, the newest title in the Race Driver: Grid series. Originally slated for September, the racing title will arrive on October 11th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Those who purchase the Ultimate Edition will still receive three days of early access, playing the game on October 8th.

Google Stadia users also expect it to remain a launch title for the service. No specific reason for the delay was provided, but the development team promises more details and gameplay soon. We can also expect some “major news” in the next few days.

GamingBolt recently interviewed game director Christopher Smith who revealed some new details (like the lack of dynamic weather). Smith also confirmed that were would be no microtransactions and the developer wouldn’t charge for tracks. Though future DLC will offer new cars and careers, non-DLC owners can still access new modes and classes if their friends happen to own them.
