GTA Online Player Count Apparently Increased to 32 Players, Game Modes Returning

Data leaks galore.

Data leaks discovered by Cinemablend indicate that Grand Theft Auto Online, the online component of the recently released and awesomely successful Grand Theft Auto 5, have revealed that the mode could have its player count increased to 32 players (instead of the aforementioned 16).

This has been discovered in different game files indicating a 32 player online cap. If you’ll recall, these are the same files which indicate that a PS4 and PC version were in development. Interestingly, some of the game modes indicated include free roam mode, all-out deathmatch, team deathmatch, races and of course, Cops ‘n’ Crooks mode.

Considering that Rockstar Games put a dampener on the existence of the PlayStation 4 version, with no indication of whether a PC version actually exists (despite some retailer leaks here and there), we’re wary of taking these leaks seriously. Nonetheless, we’ll find out when GTA Online launches on October 1st for PS3 and Xbox 360 worldwide. Stay tuned for more updates.
