Supergiant Games continues to update its isometric rogue-lite dungeon crawler Hades. This latest update offers a plethora of new features, namely a new location (Temple of Styx), new story events, and new enemies to fight with the Satyr Cultists and Gigantic Vermin. And of course, who could forget about the new traps?
But that’s not all. The final battle has also been added along with new Boons and ‘Duo’ Boons to further up your power. If there’s a particular Boon you don’t want, visit the Pool of Purging to pay for its removal. Two new tracks have also been added, which is always a treat given the developer’s musical prowess.
Hades is currently in early access on the Epic Games Store and was one of the first games to become available when the storefront launched. There’s been no indication for when it could release in full, but so far, development progress has been consistent. The Beefy Update arrived in May and revamped the UI, while adding new area, new Boons, and new story events to the game. Stay tuned for more details on what’s next, and check out the full patch notes here.
