Hades, the latest game from Supergiant Games, has been getting steady updates ever since its surprise drop last year during The Game Awards. It did miss its April update, however, but for this month they’re back to make up for it with a new patch they are literally calling the ‘Beefy Update.’ It lives up to its name, too, as this update adds a lot to the game.
As detailed on Supergiant Games’ Discord, the update will see a lot of new additions, including a new Minotaur boss, a new biome in Elysium, new story events that have over 1,000 lines of recorded dialogue, and quite a bit more, ranging from improved UI to new regular enemies. You can take a look at a partial list of the notes below, or go to the game’s Epic Games Store entry to check it out.
Hades is available now for PC. The game is still in Early Access and only available through the Epic Games Store.
- Elysium: Rise up to an all-new biome of the Underworld, rife with new perils and mysteries.
- Theseus and the Minotaur: They await you in the afterlife of heroes… Who else will you find up there?
- Redesigned Dash: Outmaneuver your foes like never before with this newly revised core ability.
- Improved UI: All-new Boon Info display lets you track an even greater number of power-ups.
- New Foes: Confront the Exalted and the Nemean Chariot, among other Elysian foes.
- New Boons: Look for new God Boons, including all-new Exchange choices.
- New Story Events: There are ~1,000 new voice lines—the most added in an update since launch.
