While Halo Infinite’s multiplayer received some new playlists last month, giving fans beloved modes like Free-For-All and Team Slayer outside of Quickplay, Big Team Battle has been suffering for while. 343 Industries noted that a fix was on the way and fortunately, it will be deploying in the middle of this week.
Community director Brian Jarrard provided an update on the forums before the weekend that, “The test pass was completed and the hotfix is now in the process of going through Xbox certification. As long as no issues arise, we are targeting releasing this hot fix middle of next week.” Monday is noted to be a holiday for the office due to Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
To thank fans for their patience, Jarrard confirmed that all players would receive five XP Boosts and five Challenge Swaps for free. Once the hotfix is live, these will be added to one’s inventory upon logging in. It will only be live for about a month so make sure to log in and claim them when you can.
Jarrard also revealed that the team is still working on the big patch coming mid-February. More details will be provided as we get closer to next month. Meanwhile, 343 Industries is also working on “plans/updates to other key topics we know are top of mind for the community (economy, armor customization, ranked, cheating, networking, etc.).” So stay tuned for more details on that soon as well.
Halo Infinite will also see some changes to the in-game store starting tomorrow like price reductions, making bundles more valuable, allowing some bundled items to be sold separately and so on. Read more about that here.
