If all goes according to current plans, Halo Infinite will launch at the end of the year alongside Microsoft’s next generation console, the Xbox Series X. Right now, it’s hard to say with everything surrounding COVID-19. We do know that the Halo team has transitioned to working at home remotely. It either will or won’t come this year, but in the meantime, 343 Industries has been making some fun behind the scene videos about how the game is made, and today we got a look at how they got some cool sound effects.
In two videos, one on the official YouTube account and another on the official Instagram, the sound team highlights how sound effects are made. The first highlights how they take the sounds from some very noisy vehicles, including an ancient tractor. The second has a makeshift propane cannon recorded in an abandoned mining town. Check them out below. If you liked these, the team also released similar videos about how sound for weapons are made, which you can check out here.
Halo Infinite is scheduled to release this holiday season for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.
