A little of that pew, pew.

Halo Infinite will launch with the Xbox Series X with the hopes that it can provide a new spark for the franchise and bring it closer to where it once was- at the peak of gaming culture. Whether it can do so or not remains to be seen, and there’s been some news from behind the scenes that you can’t help but raise your eyebrow at (though 343 says everything is fine). Either way, though, as we wait patiently, 343 Industries is showing us how the sausage is made a bit, with a new video that teases how weapons will sound in the game.

In a new video released to the official Instagram Halo page, we see one of the team members testing out a variety of different weapons: pistols, rifles, shotguns, etc. to get a certain sound down for the game’s weaponry. This won’t be exactly how the guns sound in-game, as they will be altered slightly to fit the sci-fi setting, but it’s still fun to see.

Halo Infinite will release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC some time this Holiday season. For more fun sounds, take a look at a funny video of how they recorded the sounds for the Grunt enemies through here.
