EVO occurred this weekend, which means many fighting game announcements. SNK’s Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves leads the charge, showcasing its open beta roster and Season Pass 1 line-up. Of course, it also revealed another playable character – Kain R. Heinlein, the final boss of Garou: Mark of the Wolves. Check out his trailer below.
As Geese’s brother-in-law and Rock Howard’s maternal uncle, he’s skilled in Pyrokinesis, firing projectiles and generating fire orbs, which you can detonate mid-combo. Many of his attacks are also flame-based, making him a dangerous fighter. In City of the Wolves, he actually teams with Rock to rescue his sister (and the latter’s mother) by partaking in the next King of Fighters tournament.
Kain will be playable in the upcoming open beta when it goes live from February 20th to February 24th. Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves launches on April 24th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, and PC.
