Hardspace: Shipbreaker Overview Trailer Outlines Salvaging, Work Orders, and More

Blackbird Interactive breaks down the various challenges and hazards of spaceship salvaging.

En route to its early access release in June, Blackbird Interactive’s Hardspace: Shipbreaker has received a new trailer. It provides a quick overview of the gameplay and what players can expect in this sci-fi sandbox. Check it out below.

Hardspace: Shipbreaker places you in the role of a salvager who’s main job is to cut up massive spaceships. Along with a cutter that can help detach valuable parts and materials, players will use a grappling hook to pull parts, navigate the environment and much more. Work Orders can also be undertaken which will help you rank up and gain access to better tools.

There are a number of ships to salvage and you need to be careful with what you’re cutting. Accidentally creating an opening in a pressurized room will cause all of the objects to go flying out. Removing a reactor can be valuable but only if you salvage it before it finishes melting down (and obliterating the space around it).

Hardspace: Shipbreaker enters early access for PC on June 16th and will also come to Xbox One and PS4 later.
