Helldivers 2 Delayed to February 28th, Per Sony’s CES 2024 Presser

Arrowhead Game Studios and PlayStation haven't issued any statement on potential delays for the co-op third-person shooter.

Not a day after PlayStation UK touted its release in month, Helldivers 2 may be delayed. This is according to Sony’s CES 2024 press conference, where it listed some of PlayStation’s biggest titles. At roughly 22:53, Arrowhead Game Studios’ third-person shooter has a release date of February 28th instead of February 8th.

It isn’t the first delay for the title, which was planned to launch in 2023 but faced a delay. Neither PlayStation nor the development team have announced a delay, and the PlayStation Store still lists it for February 8th. Either this is a mistake or a premature announcement. Time will tell, but if true, launching one day before Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is somewhat baffling.

Helldivers 2 is coming to PS5 and PC. While its predecessor is an overhead shooter, the sequel opts for a third-person perspective. Friendly fire and Stratagems are still a thing with co-op for up to four players. Check out the latest gameplay, showcasing the killer robots of the Automaton faction.
