Arrowhead Game Studios' multiplayer shooter has hit another major milestone, it was revealed at the recent Golden Joystiq Awards.
"Hypothetically speaking, if both partners think it would benefit them from a financial/brand standpoint, it could," says Arrowhead Game Studios' Thomas Petersson.
The Ministry of Truth lends its arms and armor to the Helldivers, with a new pistol, shotgun, SMG, and more awaiting players.
Several weapons and Stratagems have received buffs, Heavy armor provides more damage reduction and much more in the new patch.
Automaton Hulks, Devastators and Gunships are less lethal, and Helldivers now take 50 percent less extra headshot damage.
The latest Premium Warbond delivers two new Stratagem Variants, weapons, and armor sets centred on corrosive gas damage.
Armor Penetration has also seen a rework, while several enemies like the Hulk, Impaler, Devastator, and Gunship are getting nerfed.
Arrowhead Game Studios is also looking into explaining balance changes in its patch notes and providing dedicated streams and blogs.
Game director Mikael Eriksson also revealed that the studio will re-examine its balance approach and update fire damage.
It adds two new mission objectives, several new enemy types, Super-Helldive difficulty with new Fortresses and Strongholds, and much more.
Arrowhead senior character artist Vidar Rapp also teases that his favorite contribution, potentially a new enemy, is yet to come.
Two new armor sets, a Booster for unleashing flames on landing, and new cosmetics, including new capes and emotes, also inbound.
A new environment variant, objectives, massive outposts and fortresses, and developments for the Galactic War are also inbound.
It also seemingly includes "life-saving armor", which could mean flame resistance for dealing with planets like Hellmire.
The stratagem will seemingly allow players to send up a flare that will illuminate an area while also attracting enemies.
Specific cases where players could get stuck in the Hellpod loading screen should also be fixed, though plenty of other issues remain.
The FAF-14 Spear will no longer cause a crash when aimed. Players worldwide can also finally use Japanese voice-overs on PS5 and PC.
Helldivers 2 is getting a host of improvements soon, including changes to enemy spawns and patrols.
It adds two new weapons, including a triple-barreled secondary shotgun, two new armor sets, jungle-themed skins and much more.
Shift-Up's exclusive is the only new title to rank in the top 20 charts. Meanwhile, Rare's Sea of Thieves sees an impressive PS5 debut.
