Upon its announcement earlier this year, Helldivers 2 was given a 2023 launch window, but the wait for the multiplayer shooter is going to be a bit longer than previously anticipated. Sony and Arrowhead Studios showcased the game at the recent State of Play presentation, where they also announced a delay to early next year.
Some new gameplay footage was also shown off, showcasing an intense boss fight against an oversized and, frankly, intimidating foe, known as the Bile Titan, with a group of players working together to take it down, while brief details were also shared on how progress and unlocks will work in the game. You can check out the gameplay trailer below.
Helldivers 2 is set to launch early next year, on February 8, for PS5 and PC (via Steam). Pre-orders for the multiplayer third person shooter will go live in about a week’s time, on September 22.
