Hitman 3 Introduces Persistent Shortcuts to Mix up Future Playthroughs

Opening these shortcuts will allow for access to new areas and possibilities when revisiting missions.

IO Interactive’s Hitman 3 is out later this month and while it will feature everything that fans have enjoyed about the World of Assassination trilogy, there are plenty of new features to embrace. One such feature is Persistent Shortcuts, revealed for the first time by Game Informer. These are meant to encourage exploration and make future playthroughs all the more interesting.

These shortcuts will take players out of their way in missions and can only be opened from one direction. However, upon doing so, they’ll remain open for future playthroughs. If you want to try different approaches for assassinating targets, cut down on your mission completion time or even access other areas more easily, these will help.

Hitman 3 is out on January 20th for Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and Google Stadia. Levels from the previous two Hitman games are playable within it notable enhancements and improvements. The overall file size is also 100 GB, so you won’t have to reserve Call of Duty: Modern Warfare-level amounts of space for all the content.
