The newest episode for IO Interactive’s Hitman reboot is available starting today- players can download The Summer Bonus Episode, but there is a catch. The new episode is available only to those players who bought either Hitman: The Full Experience or have bought both the Intro and Upgrade Packs- it is not available to purchase and download standalone for now.
“The Summer Bonus Episode is available for players who own the Full Experience or own the combination of Intro Pack + Upgrade Pack, at no additional cost,” IO Interactive said. “For all other players, the Summer Bonus Episode will be available for individual purchase later in the Season, packaged together with a third bonus mission for one price. At that time, Full Experience and Upgrade Pack owners will also get access to the third bonus mission at no additional cost.”
I suppose it is good to know that it is only temporary- though I don’t understand why the delay exists in the first place, if not to penalize players who have not yet purchased the Season Pass. I have mostly been on board with the episodic format for this game so far, but this comes off as bad form to me- for now.
