Following premature listings and rumors about its price, Team Cherry has confirmed that Hollow Knight: Silksong will retail for $19.99/€19.99/¥2300. It will also launch at 7 AM PT/10 AM ET/4 PM CEST/11 PM JST on September 4th.
As noted previously, the price is only $5 more than Hollow Knight, which many felt was a steal. That could be the same case for Silksong, especially since it takes place in a brand new kingdom, Pharloom, which Hornet must save from a curse. Along with enhanced mobility and new moves, players can battle over 200 different enemy types and more than 40 bosses.
The slight downside is that pre-launch review codes won’t be sent out because Team Cherry wants its backers and players to get their hands on it at the same time. Time will tell if it lives up to the legacy of its predecessor, so stay tuned for more updates.
Hollow Knight: Silksong will be available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 at launch alongside Game Pass. Check out some brief new gameplay here.
