Team Cherry has confirmed a special announcement video for Hollow Knight: Silksong, its long-in-development Metroidvania announced over six years ago. It will air on August 21st at 7:30 AM PT/10:30 AM ET.
With Gamescom Opening Night Live coming up and host Geoff Keighley supposedly teasing the game’s appearance, many fans believed that the release date would be revealed at the show. However, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier reports that this won’t be the case. Whether this “special announcement” will be it, especially with Team Cherry confirming launch before the Holidays, remains to be seen.
Hollow Knight: Silksong is in development for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. It will also launch on day one for Game Pass. Those attending Gamescom can go hands-on at the Xbox and Nintendo booths from August 20th to 24th. Stay tuned for more details and potential gameplay from the show floor in the coming days.
