Hazelight Studios’s It Takes Two was without a doubt one of the highlights of 2021, and the co-op platformer has certainly received the praise and recognition to reflect that. That critical acclaim, of course, has also been matched by equally impressive sales, and Hazelight recently confirmed that on that front, the game has hit another major milestone.
Taking to Twitter, Hazelight recently announced that It Takes Two has now sold 5 million copies worldwide, which is up from the 3 million units it had sold as of October 2021. In December, It Takes Two was awarded the Game of the Year award at The Game Awards, and received similar accolades from a number of other outlets and publications, so it seems that resurgence in popularity had a solid impact on sales as well.
