L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files Rated For PS4 By PEGI

The virtual reality version of the open world title might be headed to PSVR.

Back in 2011, Rockstar released a virtual reality variant of their 2011 Team Bondi-developed open world title L.A. Noire for PC with L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files. Though currently it is available only for PC, with compatibility for Oculus Rift, Valve Index, and HTC Vive, the game might also be headed to PlayStation VR.

A listing for the game for PS4 has popped up on PEGI’s official website (Pan European Game Information, the European games rating board). The listing mentions a PS4 release date for L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files later this year. While the release date mentioned doesn’t necessarily have to be accurate, the game being listed for a PS4 release does suggest that it is indeed headed to PSVR. Of course, until such time an official announcement is made, it’s best to err on the side of caution and not take this as gospel.

L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files follows the same story as the base game, but heavily truncates the experience with a significantly smaller number of cases. The game’s received mixed reception from audiences since launch, so read up on it before deciding to jump in (whichever platform that might be on). If you’re more concerned with the base game than the VR experience, L.A. Noire Remastered is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
