Recent leaks had claimed that PlayStation would be announcing a LEGO-themed game based on Guerrilla’s Horizon franchise at Summer Game Fest, and that has indeed turned out to be accurate.
As its name suggests, LEGO Horizon Adventures is a LEGO-style game set in the Horizon universe, developed by UK-based Studio Gobo in collaboration with Guerrilla, LEGO, and Sony. Starring series protagonist Aloy, the action-adventure game is described as a “playful and light-hearted story inspired by the events of the world of Horizon”, essentially recreating the first game’s story (and potentially beyond) with a new, more light-hearted tone.
LEGO Horizon Adventures is due out this Holiday, and guess what- alongside PS5, it’s also going to launch day and date not only for PC, but also for Nintendo Switch. That’s right, a first-party PlayStation game will get a simultaneous launch on Nintendo’s console. The game will be roughly 7-8 hours long, and though co-op will be featured, cross-play won’t be supported.
