NEOWIZ and Round8 Studio have announced that Lies of P has sold over one million units worldwide within its first month of release. The Souls-like action RPG launched on September 18th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. It’s also available on Game Pass.
In a press release, Seungchul Kim, NEOWIZ co-CEO, said, “This incredible milestone for Lies of P proves the potential of Korean console games on the global stage. The Lies of P project was a challenging endeavor for Neowiz and Round8 Studio, and we take great pride in what we achieved with this title.”
Director Jiwon Choi said, “The reception has been incredible so far, and we are beyond thankful that over one million players have already embarked on their journey through Krat. Likewise, we are excited for what the future holds for Lies of P, and can’t wait to share more when the time is right.”
Based on the novel Pinocchio, Lies of P is set in a Belle Epoque era city overrun by renegade puppets and a strange disease. As P, players must find Mr Geppetto and a way to turn things around. They meet various characters throughout the city, some friendly and others less so, but you have the option to lie, which has consequences (including affecting the ending).
