Bandai Namco’s Little Nightmares 3 was one of the more surprising reveals at this year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live. Not only is Supermassive Games of The Dark Pictures Anthology series developing it instead of Tarsier Studios, but it also introduces co-op (online only, though). An 18-minute gameplay video is available to showcase how that works. Check it out below.
Set in the Necropolis, it sees playable characters Low and Alone navigating through its dusty crypts and many hazards. From shooting down objects with a bow and arrow/slingshot and platforming to sneaking and battling flying beetles, a lot is going on. However, perhaps the most dangerous part is Monster Baby, sometimes lurking menacingly and other times bursting through walls.
Since it’s pre-alpha footage, there’s still a way to go before release, so stay tuned for more updates and gameplay in the coming months. Little Nightmares 3 is coming to PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2024.
