Looks Like Konami Missed Out Removing Kojima’s Name From Metal Gear Solid 5, Manual Released

Konami seems to have forgotten about PSN icons displaying Kojima's name.

You almost have to feel for Konami at this point. The publisher has faced several controversies this year, ranging from the departure of Hideo Kojima to the uncovering of toxic practices at the company. However, one of the bigger controversies was the removal of Kojima’s name from the box art for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.

However, it’s removal process hasn’t extended to the digital realm, at least not entirely. According to a Reddit user, Konami forgot to remove “A Hideo Kojima Game” from the PS4 icon of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain on PSN. That’s significantly easier to remove than a couple of cases but it’s still amazing that Konami would overlook it.

In other news, the manual for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain has been released. It’s worth a read, especially to familiarize yourself with your controls. Will you be picking the game up tomorrow? Let us know in the comments.
