Mafia: Definitive Edition was by far the biggest new major release last week, and it’s no surprise that that, combined with strong critical reception, has resulted in decent launch sales for the game. In the UK, as per data for boxed weekly sales (via GamesIndustry), the remake debuted in third place. Meanwhile, Mafia: Trilogy (which compiles the remake and Mafia 2: Definitive Edition and Mafia 3: Definitive Edition) saw its physical launch last week, and debuted in sixth place.
On top of the charts, Super Mario 3D All-Stars held on to its position, where it debuted last week. In fact, with just two weeks on the market, it has immediately become the best-selling game at retail in the UK for the month of September, overtaking Marvel’s Avengers. The superhero brawler also continues to perform well, however, holding on to the second spot in this week’s charts.
Meanwhile, the rest of the top 10 is dominated by games we’ve come to expect seeing in these charts every week, including the likes of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Minecraft, Grand Theft Auto 5, and more.
