Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is the latest game in Sony’s line of PC releases, several of which have come this year itself, but upon release, it hasn’t attracted the sort of attention that Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered did when it released for the platform earlier this year.
As per SteamDB, Miles Morales saw peak concurrent user count on Steam of 13,539 players, making for a largely tepid launch for the port. It’s also the third lowest Steam launch for a PlayStation game, above Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection(10,851 players at launch) and Sackboy: A Big Adventure (610 players at launch). By comparison, when Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered launch for PC earlier this year, it had a peak concurrent user count on Steam of over 66,000 players.
In our review of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales for PC, we awarded it a score of 9/10, saying, “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, in acting as a short middle chapter between Marvel’s Spider-Man and its upcoming sequel, doesn’t really have the luxury to introduce radical new concepts that might turn the game on its head. Rather, it’s a fun, short romp through New York once again, but this time as a new protagonist. Its tightly-paced plot tells a great coming of age story for a new Spider-Man, and its greatest strength is the fun ensemble cast.” Read the full review through here.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is available on PC, PS5, and PS4.
