Mass Effect 3 Score Will Be Done By Clint Mansell

The name Clint Mansell may not sound familiar to you but he is known as one of the best and innovative people to score soundtracks.  He will be creating the score for Mass Effect 3, which is big deal as Mass Effect 2 was hugely successful and the third game will complete the trilogy.  More and more composer that do movies are taking video games more seriously as Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight) did the score for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, though I’m sure the check in the mail has some persuasion as well. Clint Mansell has scored films such as Black Swan, The Fountain, Requiem for a Dream and The Wrestler. Clint Mansell’s “Lux Ӕterna,” was also re-orchestrated in a trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. His “Lux Ӕterna” was inspired from a piece from the film Requiem for a Dream which was probably one of his most famous scores in a film.  The epic saga of Mass Effect will complete its trilogy with Mass Effect 3 as it hits home as in Earth, releasing late 2011 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
