Mass Effect 3 story files leaked; BioWare urges fans not to spoil the game

Mass Effect 3 has already seen a leak, with Microsoft accidentally publishing the demo containing multiplayer and single player gameplay on Xbox Live. Some details were also revealed, but it looks like that wasn’t it.

A document containing a fully detailed breakdown of Mass Effect 3’s entire story has been stolen and leaked online. It was reportedly retrieved from the beta build by Russian fansite Bioware.ru. BioWare has acknowledged this leak’s existence, but has urged the fans to not read any story elements. They say that while the final experience and the story in the game are very far away from the one written in the document, there are several spoilers which fans should stay away from.

“We are still investigating, but it appears that some internal story files have been leaked,” read a post on BioWare’s forums. “Even though the information in those files is out of date and does not reflect the final story experience, we urge fans not to read them if they want to experience the purest form of the story in Mass Effect 3.”

Mass Effect 3 releases on March 6 next year for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Stay tuned for more info.
