Mass Effect Andromeda Might Possibly Have A Better Ending Than Mass Effect 3

'We'll do what we can' isn't exactly 'yes'.

While Mass Effect Andromeda is still quite a ways off, there are a couple of pieces of information we know about the upcoming game and now there are some things we can also speculate about. We know that there is more to the player character than we first thought, because he or she apparently wasn’t even in the actual reveal trailer. Thanks to the Senior Development Director Chris Wynn there is now some speculation about the ending of Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Since Mass Effect 3 ended, there has been an awful lot of fans who weren’t exactly happy with the turn the game took. One particular fan asked Wynn on Twitter whether or not Andromeda would have a happier ending. Wynn replied “we’ll do what we can!” While this information isn’t exactly a confirmation of anything, it does seem to indicate that Bioware understands the level of frustration fans of the series had with the ending to Mass Effect 3.

Of course, part of the problem was that the ending to that game was the culmination of a lot of hours playing the original trilogy. Since Andromeda is a reboot of a sort, meaning there aren’t any of the original characters playing central roles, the ending to this game could be more of a cliff hanger than its predecessor. There’s also the argument that ending with a cliffhanger would be rather frustrating because it would basically be forcing people to buy yet another game. We’ll just have to see when Mass Effect: Andromeda launches next Holiday season for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
