Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes Main Campaign Lasts Only Two Hours?

This is according to a recent report by Game Informer (doesn't factor in side missions).

Though director Hideo Kojima has indicated on several occasions that Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes would be short and simply serve as a prologue for The Phantom Pain – which would be several hundreds of times bigger – he didn’t quite specify the length. In a new preview from Game Informer, it seems the core campaign mission lasts a mere two hours.

“Judged just by the core story mission, Ground Zeroes is short. We completed it in just less than two hours.” It was pointed out that this only included the main missions and not the side quests or other content such as the retro Metal Gear Solid or Raiden missions.

Nevertheless, does that justify the $40 price? Length doesn’t necessarily make a great game but it is a big incentive for those dropping cash. Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes releases on March 18th in North America and March 20th in Europe for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4.
