Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain Footage Spotted in YouTube Live@E3 Promo

Stills captured from the promo show a blood-covered Big Boss.

The 2015 edition of the Electronic Entertainment Expo is nearly upon us and will outline the path for upcoming games this year (and beyond). Among those games is Konami’s Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain which will revealed its newest trailer come next week. However, as an erstwhile user on the Metal Gear Solid sub-Reddit has pointed out, some footage from the new trailer can be spotted in a promo for YouTube Live@E3. Check it out here (starts at 0:24).

Those who want a closer look at stills from the trailer can check out images from the same below (thanks to Germo on Reddit). The first image shows Big Boss on his knees in a bloody environment, bodies surrounding him, while the second image showcases a close-up of his bloody face looking in a mirror. In the trailer, Big Boss punches the mirror, shattering it.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will be out this year in September for PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360. It was reportedly be creator Hideo Kojima’s final game with Konami, if rumours of his departure are accurate.
