Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes has had some fairly middling success since releasing late last month – which is understandable when you consider that it’s only the prologue to the main game (The Phantom Pain). According to the latest NPD April 2014 report, Ground Zeroes sold 278,000 units in the US with next gen versions accounting for 204,000 units.
Meanwhile in Japan, Ground Zeroes has managed to sell 340,000 units in its lifetime – again, substantially lower than Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots when it launched for PS3. Digital sales for the game have yet to be revealed according to analyst David Gibson on Twitter.
In other news, Robin Atkin Downes, who voices Kaz, posted a video on Instagram showcasing the studio where VO recordings are happening for The Phantom Pain. Check it out at the link.
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will be out for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PS3. It is rumoured to be releasing in early 2015.
