Yesterday we got a trailer for Metal Gear Solid 5 that we hadn’t seen before. Today, we’re getting a couple of new screenshots that hadn’t seen the light of day, shedding just a bit more light on the game and what it’s going to look like. The game’s director, Hideo Kojima took to Twitter recently and showed off the new screenshots. These pics detail the new motherbase, as well as a brand new bionic arm. One pic also shows that Kojima is clearly working hard to put out yet another gameplay video that will center on the base.
Specifically, Kojima says that the new video he is putting together will show how the base can grow over time. As we get closer to the game’s release, Konami and Kojima are certainly working hard to make sure that the fanbase for the long running series is certainly excited when Metal Gear Solid: Phantom Pain launches on September 1. One way to really get people going to is use callbacks from previous iterations. Sharp eyed viewers might notice some rather minute details about the new arm being showed off for one thing.
Of course, Metal Gear Solid has aloways been a series that has a ton of callbacks to previous titles in the series. That’s one of the things that makes the games so popular. There has certainly been plenty of hints about what we can expect to see when it finally does launch. We won’t have to wait much longer since Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain hits for the Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC this September.
