UPDATE: GameStop has deleted the tweet, and said that its release date information was incorrect.
Original story follows:
Konami offered another look at Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater with promising new gameplay trailer for the remake at the recent Xbox Games Showcase, and though the company did not announce a release date at the time, one may have been leaked.
Taking to Twitter, GameStop recently published a tweet inviting players to begin pre-ordering the game. In that tweet, the retailer also says the remake is releasing on November 17- which, of course, is something that Konami itself hasn’t yet announced.
Interestingly, recently leaks had claimed that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater may have been internally delayed into 2025. With Konami set to release the Silent Hill 2 remake in October, a 2025 launch for another major remake would certainly make sense, though it remains to be seen whether the company is instead going to officially confirm the date that GameStop seems to have leaked.
Plenty more new details have also recently emerged on the remake. In addition to options for both modern and classic control schemes and camera options, the game’s overhauled damage system will also dynamically inflict permanent scars on Naked Snake’s body as players progress through the story.
Whenever it launches, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
