Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Will Be Playable to the Public at Gamescom

For the first time ever.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is almost here, as it launches on September 1, but if that’s too far for you to wait to get your hands on Kojima’s latest magnum opus, well, the good news is you get the chance to play it before then- Konami today announced that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be playable to the public at Gamescom this year, alongside the upcoming PES 2016.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain marks the last game in the series’ current story arc, concluding the story of Big Boss and Solid Snake; it will also be the last game in the franchise helmed by Hideo Kojima, as after this, Kojima leaves Konami.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will launch on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 on September 1; PC players have to wait just a little while longer, as that version launches on September 15.
