Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor Releasing on September 30th for Consoles

PC users get it on October 2nd, according to WB Interactive Entertainment.

Games are being delayed left and right in the running to the coveted October season but there are a few examples of games being pre-poned in order to avoid the mad rush. Tango Gameworks’ The Evil Within is one such example and now Monolith Productions’ Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor can be added to the list.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced today that the Lord of the Rings title will now be releasing on September 30th for North America on Xbox One, PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360. PC users will be receiving the game on October 2nd when it releases worldwide. It’s worth noting that Shadow of Mordor was originally set to release on October 7th and was competing with a ton of big-name games like Evolve, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and many more during the later weeks of October.

With this new release date, which was made “[b]ased on hearing fans’ excitement over the latest chronicle in Middle-earth”, Shadow of Mordor should be given some time to breathe. Thoughts on the pre-ponement? Let us know below.
