Sony San Diego has released a new video for MLB The Show 21, focusing on the march to the postseason in “March to October”. If you’re not keen on playing 162 games, then it’s possible to speed up progress. This is done by offering more control over one’s roster to make higher impact moves and fast-tracking the development of prospects by playing minor league games.
As the first title in the series to go cross-platform, MLB The Show 21 will be releasing on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One and PS4. The Standard Edition retails for $59.99 while the current-gen versions are $69.99. Upgrading from previous to current-gen platforms also isn’t possible with the Standard Edition – you’ll need the Collector’s Edition for that.
While saves from previous releases can’t be transferred over, MLB The Show 21 does support cross-platform saves. Players on Xbox can thus move their progress over to PlayStation consoles and vice versa if necessary. It’s currently slated to release on April 20th so stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
