Courtesy of another update to its list of platinum sellers, Capcom has now provided updated sales figures for a number of its titles as of March 31, and the Monster Hunter series continues to sell with impressive momentum, with the last two mainline instalments and their expansions in particular showing little signs of slowing down.
Monster Hunter World, which had sold 18.6 million units as of the end of last year, sold another 200,000 copies during Q1 of 2023, and as of March 31, stands at 18.8 million units. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne also continues to sell at a similar trajectory, and currently stands at 10.2 million units sold.
Meanwhile, Monster Hunter Rise, which had sold 12 million units as of February, now stands at 12.7 million units sold, while Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak has also enjoyed a boost of 500,000 units, with total sales having hit 5.4 million units. The action RPG and its expansion became available for PlayStation and Xbox consoles in recent months, which presumably has helped contribute to the momentum of its sales.
Capcom has also provided updated sales figures for its recent Resident Evil releases- read more on that through here.
