Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Will Receive Free Post-Launch Content, More Info Coming in June

Like in previous games, the upcoming expansion will receive "several" free title updates as per series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto.

Capcom dropped a whole lot of new details for Monster Hunter Rise’s massive new expansion Sunbreak. Along with showcasing Malzeno’s attacks and abilities, there are new subspecies to fight, Skill Swap for quickly changing between Switch Skills in combat, and much more. Of course, there’s even more to come – series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto confirmed that there would be “several” free title updates.

More details on the free content and other news will be provided in June. This could mean an appearance at either Summer Game Fest, IGN’s Summer of Gaming, or a potential new Nintendo Direct. While the news of free title updates is not unexpected for Monster Hunter fans, it’s still good to know that Capcom will continue supporting the title with new monsters, armor, weapons, and other features.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is slated to launch on June 30th for Nintendo Switch and PC. Details on the new Skills for each weapon will also be provided starting from May 16th along with new gameplay clips so stay tuned.
