It’s a busy time for Monster Hunter as a series. Monster Hunter Rise is going strong, and will continue to do so with planned upcoming updates. Meanwhile, spinoff turn-based RPG Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is also releasing in less than two months, and Capcom has been sharing new details on that as well.
A new trailer for the game has been released, providing setup for the game’s central narrative, involving mysteriously vanishing Rathalos, a baby Rathalos hatching from an egg that is prophesized to bring ruin to the world, and you taking up your grandfather’s mantle as a new Rider and setting off on a journey with your companions. Check it out below.
More details on the game will be shared next week, with Capcom having confirmed the next Monster Hunter Digital Event for May 26, so stay tuned for more details coming then.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin launches for Nintendo Switch and PC on July 9. It’ll require 14.6 GB of storage space on Switch. You can check out the game’s PC requirements through here.
