Alongside Monster Hunter Wilds, Capcom showcased trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, which launches on March 13th, 2026. It showcased “invasive monsters,” those who invade others’ territories, and the Rangers’ role in repelling them. However, the most interesting element is Habitat Restoration.
Players can discover eggs for monsters, including rarities like Rathian, to hatch, raise and then return to the wild. This allows for bolstering the ecosystem and giving rise to special mutated monsters like Dreadqueen Rathian. Some monsters can take on the element of their designated area and effectively change in the process, like the red Zinogre (which specializes in fire instead of thunder).
Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto said that certain monsters can only be obtained by restoring habitats. And in case you wanted even more Monster Hunter Wilds additions to the roster, he confirmed the inclusion flagship monster Arkveld and how the team is especially proud of its kinship animation.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
