Monster Hunter World Free Trial is Live Now for Consoles, Available Till December 17th

Participate in all story missions and quests up till Hunter Rank 4, with all progress transferring over to the full game.

As promised, Xbox One and PS4 players can participate in a free limited trial for Capcom’s Monster Hunter World. Having begun yesterday, the trial will be available until December 17th, 3:59 PM PST. Check out the release trailer below for a small teaser of what the trial entails.

Capcom have revealed that you can take on all story missions and quests up until Hunter Rank 4. This includes 3 Star Assignments, and in terms of story progression, you’ll be stopped after completing the hunt for Tobi-Kadachi. The Ancient Forest and Wildspire Waste are both available to explore, and you might come across tougher monsters like Diablos and Rathalos in the process. Pro-tip: Don’t fight them unless you have a death wish.

All gear and weapons up till Hunter Rank 4 are also available, though this only reflects a small percentage of the overall loot pool. Players who own the full game can join those with the trial version on hunts. If you’re interested in picking up the full game once the trial ends, then progress will transfer over. When will the free limited trial hit PC? Thus far, we’re still waiting for an update on the same.
