After years of fervent anticipation and speculation, NeatherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment finally revealed Mortal Kombat 11 at The Game Awards earlier this month. Being a fighter, one of the biggest questions people will have about it will of course be about its roster, and recent events may have clued us into a new inclusion.
Todd McFarlane, the creator of comic book character Spawn, recently held an AMA session on Reddit, where he seemingly confirmed that Spawn would be part of the Mortal Kombat 11 roster. After a fan asked him whether this would indeed be the case, McFarlane simply said, “I believe he’s on his way…” Of course, this isn’t word coming out of NeatherRealm, so for now it’s best not to believe it blindly, but you’d think the creator of a character, of all people, would know whether their character is in a game, so it definitely looks good.
More Mortal Kombat 11 info will be coming on January 17 during a community event, but we already know a few details, such as about its custom character variation system, and its new graphics engine. Read about them through the links. Mortal Kombat 11 launches on April 23, 2019 for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
