Mortal Kombat X’s Quitality Will Detonate Offending Player’s Heads

Other news includes no 2 vs. 2 mode and Test Your Luck mode.

NetherRealm Studios seems to have come up with a great new strategy to punish players who drop out of Mortal Kombat X’s online matches: make their heads explode.

As teased by Ed Boon yesterday, the new Quitality as it’s called will act as some sort of deterrent for those who leave when they don’t want to take a loss. Does that include players who face connection errors and unexpectedly leave the game? That remains to be seen in the coming weeks up to the game’s release.

Meanwhile, NetherRealm revealed through a recent Community Kast video that Test Your Luck would be returning as a mode and would include seven different modifiers for extra randomness. You can choose these in the Kustom Kombat mode (which is offline) beforehand. It should also be noted that there will be no 2 vs. 2 mode in Mortal Kombat X.

Mortal Kombat X will be out on April 14th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC with the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions due in Q2/Q3 2015.
