Need For Speed Heat Features A Modern Soundtrack That Changes Based On Time Of Day

The soundtrack will feature urban and electronic tunes.

The next installment in the longrunning racing series, Need For Speed Heat, finally got its gameplay unveiling at this year’s Gamescom, and it certainly seems like you’ll be going pretty fast. Thankfully, you also won’t need to always be online to enjoy it either. To go along with that speed will be a modern soundtrack that’ll change depending on the time of day.

Talking with VG24/7, Creative Director Riley Cooper talked about the music of the game, revealing they want to utilize a modernized, urban soundtrack with electronic influenced tunes. It’ll also changes depending on what time of the day you’ll be playing, with a more relaxed vibe during the day, but a more hyped up beat at night.

“So we’re not releasing track names right now, but generally speaking there are a few different influences,” Riley Cooper said. We’re going for a modern soundtrack with a little bit of a local vibe with some of our track selections. Electronic is a big influence, urban is a big influence. But a more relaxed vibe during the day, unless you’re racing, and a more dangerous vibe at night.”

Night for Speed Heat releases on November 8th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. For how the game is improving cop chases, read through here.
