Need for Speed returns with its next instalment, Need for Speed Heat, in a little over a week from now, and fans of the series are hoping that after several stumbled in recent years, this will be a return to form for the franchise. Ahead of the game’s imminent launch, EA have released a launch trailer for the open world racer, showcasing the locations of its Florida-inspired setting, its high speed cop chases, and more. Take a look below.
Though there’s always some skepticism surrounding any game made by EA, and though Need for Speed has made some major errors in recent years, many are cautiously optimistic about Heat. With no loot boxes, no need to have a perpetual internet connection, focus on customization, and some solid looking gameplay released so far, Need for Speed Heat looks like a step in the right direction- though of course, whether or not the actual game itself lives up to that billing is something that we’ll have to wait a while longer to find out.
Need for Speed Heat is out on November 8 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. On consoles, it requires roughly 24 GB of storage space. Meanwhile, you can check out its PC system requirements through here.
