Need For Speed Heat Promises More Cars, Customization, And Challenges

The Creative Director of the game says they've listened to fans.

After what feels like forever of teasing and talking about the game in vague terms, Need for Speed Heat finally got its grand unveiling in the form of stylish trailer, and some retro art that invokes the 1980s with bright, neon colors. While we didn’t get to see any gameplay just yet, the Creative Director of the game says that you can expect more than ever before from the racer.

Riley Cooper said in a press release announcing the game that they listened to fan feedback after Need for Speed Payback, their last entry in the series. What they learned is that fans wanted more: more cars, more customization, and more challenges.

“We’re delivering more options than ever before for players to be unique and make themselves known,” said Cooper. “Our fans have been clear that they want more cars, more customization, and more challenges, and we’re tuning up on every aspect. From your character’s style to your car’s performance and your driving style, we’re fueling everyone’s creativity with this new game.”

Of course, only time will tell if we’ll get what’s being promised with the game. The gameplay reveal is scheduled for Gamescom this year, so we should have a better idea of where we’re at then. Need for Speed Heat will release November 8th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
