Next Witcher Title is Not Exclusive to One Storefront – CD Projekt RED

Despite its partnership with Epic Games, CD Projekt RED is "not planning on making the game exclusive to one storefront."

CD Projekt RED recently confirmed that new title in The Witcher series is in development, marking the start of a “new saga for the franchise.” It runs on Unreal Engine 5 and incidentally, the developer announced a multi-year partnership with Epic Games for using its engine. This may lead one to believe that the title will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store.

However, The official Twitter account for The Witcher has debunked this, stating that, “We are not planning on making the game exclusive to one storefront.” While you may seem some benefit attached to purchasing the game on, say, GOG (which CD Projekt owns) compared to Steam or Epic Games Store, exclusivity to any store is off the table. For now, at least.

There are no further details on the title for now so it’s going to be a long wait. In the meantime, CD Projekt RED is working on Cyberpunk 2077 which recently received the massive update 1.5 and has its first expansion coming up. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is also due for free upgrade on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 later this year.
