Observer: System Redux Coming to Next-Gen Consoles in Holiday 2020

The reveal trailer hypes up new story content and next-gen graphics.

Bloober Team has revealed the official trailer for Observer: System Redux, a remaster of its 2017 cyberpunk horror game that’s headed to next-gen consoles. It showcases impressive visuals and the same stellar aesthetic while touting new story content. Check it out below.

Releasing this holiday season, there will be “expanded gameplay” to go with the new story content. Neither aspect was really detailed in the trailer but we did get a refresher on the story. Set in the future, players assume the role of Daniel Lazarski, an Observer who hacks into people’s memories via neural implants. Things quickly take a turn for the weird when Daniel investigates the apparent death of his son in a sealed off apartment complex.

You can check out our review for Observer here – it’s currently available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. With the System Redux version heading to Xbox Series X and PS5, it remains to be seen if Bloober Team’s other titles like Layers of Fear 2 or Blair Witch will receive similar treatment. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
